A few disclaimers:
1) English in not my mother tongue, apologies in advance for typos or grammatical issues. I do appreaciate readers who takes the time to point those out to me. 2) I am not qualified to evaluate the climate impacts of human activities, I am not a scientist. I read scientifics reports and understand the probabilities of outcome - which is often discounted for certainties.
3) Energy is the most valuable commodity of our society. Energy is life. Energy and fossil fuels at large have supported the wellfare of our society. Building a society around carbon models is a very dangerous experiment.
4) There is no free lunch : fossil fuel may have negative impacts on climate, be finite, but we often discount too quickly the cost-opportunity of NOT HAVING them. Sound money can be the perfect incentive structure to use them in a rational fashion and reduce energy wastes.
